To learn how to modify onsite climate conditions for increasing productivity.
To learn how to do broadacre compost tea and tree planting for carbon sequester.
To understand the benefits of forests for life on earth.
To learn the principles of the forest structure and its lessons for design.
To propagate, establish and manage tree crops.

FORMAT
Almost all of our Workshops start at 9:00am on Saturday and finish at 6:00pm on Sunday.
CHILDREN
El Manzano is children and family friendly! While we know that
students are easily distracted from intensive study by their children
we also know that kids can gain a lot from the interactions on a
course. Please contact us if you want to bring your family for the
weekend.
TRANSPORT
Please work with us to coordinate your transport to
and from El Manzano. The best option is to catch a lift with another
student coming from your area and to share costs. The bus arrives at
Cruce de Cabrero regularly where we can pick you up, but you need to
plan ahead because we will only do one trip per day.
DESIGN CONSULT
Students will have the opportunity to work with experienced Designers
and Gardeners during the course, and to get one on one design support
before or after on their own site. We charge separately for this
service.
