Diploma Applications and Fees

To apply for entry to the DAPD please complete and return to us the Aplication Form. After you have completed your application please make a payment.

We will then contact you with further details and the date of the next orientation workshop.

Entry Requirements

We expect our Diploma associates to hold a permaculture design certificate or an ecovillage design certificate. However we will accept applications from non-graduates in exceptional circumstances when relevant life and work experience can be demonstrated.

You may also begin the diploma pathway and take a certificate course during your two year pathway. Please note: in order to enter Gaia University degree pathways you are required to have a recognised permaculture of ecovillage design certificate.

Please note: This form must be completed and submitted 14 days before the next orientation workshop.

The application form outlines the documentation you need to send with your application. This includes:

  • A scanned copy of your original Permaculture Design Certificate or,
  • A scanned copy of your original Ecovillage Design Certificate.

Tuition Fees & Payments

The diploma has an annual cost of $732.000 which over two years will total CLP$1.464.000.

Fees are due in four instalments during the year based on your ability to pay:

Para asistir al taller de Orientación se debe haber cancelado la primera cuota con plazo hasta el 25 de Febrero 2012.

This fee reflects the high level of contact time with teachers and in small group project work during face to face workshops. The price includes all food and accomodation costs on the face to face workshops.

Students will need to budget for travel, books not held in our library, stationery and other items and services that fall outside of course fees.

Accommodation & Food

During face to face workshops food and accomodation will be provided by the local host. The diploma price includes all food and accomodation costs for these events.

Diploma associates can choose to live in El Manzano for an extended period of time living and working on the campus. Live-in associates are required to pay a residential fee per week of CLP$35000 and will be required to work 24 hours per week (4 hours per day) in daily activities. There are a limited number of places available. If you wish to take a residential position in El Manzano pleae specify this on the application form.
